Completed for Polyweek 2023, with a second chance at happiness for Neal, Peter, and Elizabeth. This one is for Day 2 for second chances/epilogue.
I wrote large parts of this relatively soon after White Collar ended aired and then it just chilled on my harddrive for years, so it was really nice to have a reason to pull it back up again and finish it properly.
A clatter in the chair next to him brought Peter's attention back to the present moment. An elegant hand reached forward and stole his second, untouched, sandwich from his plate. Peter could see the edges of a man's familiar profile out of the corner of his eye.
He'd known that Neal was alive. The only reason he was in Paris was because Neal was alive.
He still felt winded, like he'd been punched in the gut.
