Oh how klein wanted to strangle that man. How can anyone be this dense? It should have been impossible...
well, at least he didn't say no...
OR
After Klein realizes there is no way to return to his family now, he starts to look different at his dear poet. He feels like the dear poet also returns his feelings so he tries to give hints to the poet. Well, he tries. It's not his fault the other is denser than a rock though.
