Having to deal with the consequences of a goddesses actions against a child of the sea. Had been bad the first time for all of them. And Triton hadn't wished it on anyone else.
To have it happen almost a second time through one of her children. Was proving to be just as painful as the first.
Even if this time it was his half brother instead of his child.
Or
When the consequences from the Capture the Flag game are more severe because Percy does nearly die against the Ares cabin. It brings back some bad memories for his Dad's side of the family due to Annabeth's involvement. And as a result ends up gaining a very (in Percy's opinion.) overprotective immortal family in the process.

Dick Grayson was used to a routine. During the day, he worked at the Bludhaven Police Department. At night, he patrolled his city (and occasionally Gotham) as Nightwing. He was used to it. It was normal. What he didn't expect, was to accidentally adopt the teenager that lived next door.
“This guy asked me out at school, but I was really uncomfortable and said that I can’t go out with anyone who doesn’t meet my dad first and then I told him my dad’s a cop. And he said that he was fine with coming over and meeting my dad and so now he’s supposed to come over."

Look. He didn’t ask to be stuck in some scummy city in New Jersey of all places. If it was up to him, he’d still be in his mom’s apartment in New York, in the only home he’d ever known. But that was over. And sure it sucked, but it was fine. Percy was a New Yorker, and more importantly, he was a Jackson. He was more than capable of taking care of himself. Besides, it was New Jersey. “Despite how unappealing it seemed to be, Percy gulped and squared his shoulders as he knelt down by the girl’s side. He tried to make himself as comfortable as possible before he hesitantly put his hands up until they made contact with the cold sky. And then he put some effort behind it and suddenly he felt like something was trying to squash him into a two-dimensional character.
“What…?” The girl’s eyes opened a little and she turned her head just enough to look at Percy.
His vision was a little blurry from the exertion but he could tell she was baffled by his presence there. “You needed help,” was all he managed to say before he groaned in pain and closed his eyes tightly.”

Percy has no idea why Kronos and Luke do the things that they do, but he has no other options left, really. So he does as he's told (most of the time) and kind of just thinks there's nobody else he can turn to for answers.
Until he meets Annabeth and crouches down to help her carry the sky. Then things start to steer in the right direction, at long last.
