Nikita is a Xavallen, a human-looking alien and low-level empath who serves under Henshaw and for the most part is content to do that. She meets J'onn Jo'nzz the day Jeremiah Danvers supposedly dies. Superman, Winn Schott and Mon-El help J'onn run the D.E.O. Kara Danvers exists but there is NO public Supergirl. J'onn has a protective, almost parental role in Nikita's life. Then Me'gann shows up and J'onn doesn't exactly take it well. But all really IS well in the end.

Jeremiah breaks Nikita away from the absolute asshole that is Hank Henshaw, leaves with her and they find themselves in the company of a green skinned alien named J'onn Jo'nzz. Who has spent 300 years on Earth alone and does NOT trust humans. Superman was a teenager when he met his first decent human. His search for a good man named Hiram Kent leads him to Johnathan and Martha.
Teen and up for the descriptions of Nikita's treatment at the hand of Director Hank Henshaw and alien prisoners getting executed by the guard at Fort Rozz. Nothing too graphic but it's Definately there.

"Leave him alone; take me." What follows is six years of a reformed Hank Henshaw leading the D.E.O with the support of his former prisoner Nikita. Jeremiah Danvers lives as kind of a willing captive to the alien solider J'onn Jo'nzz while his adopted son Superman works with the D.E.O.
NOT as complete as I thought. Jeremiah has to actually come home. And Superman aka Elias Danvers has to realize something about Nikita and Jor-El's histories.

Javert knew as soon as he had spoken those words to Jean Valjean that he sounded odd. If he sounded odd even to his own ears, to a man who had known him as long as Valjean, he must have sounded like he was speaking in a little-used foreign tongue.
To an extent, he was. Lying well required a comfort with deception that Javert had never possessed, and he had not miraculously acquired it even in this late hour, no matter how convenient it would have been for him to have done so.

Javert made a promise to Monsieur Madeleine that he would find the gang that was roaming the streets of Montreuil. Javert keeps his promise, but is brutally attacked, and left for dead on Madeleine's doorstep. Though Valjean fears the inspector, he decides to take him in and help him recover.
