There’s a small dagger next to a very familiar old bracelet boasting an intricate design and several strange symbols that she doesn't recognise carved directly into the wood of the table that certainly weren’t there the previous evening. The strangest thing of all though, the thing that makes this impossible is what sits in the middle.
Surrounded by the candles and the symbols, hunched forward, coughing and spluttering and completely unaware they’re no longer alone is someone Andy thought she’d never see again.

Her boot connects with the fuckers face and she hears his nose make a satisfying crunch just before his head snaps back and hits the concrete floor with a loud thud.
He lets out a wail of pain and tries to grab for it but Andy is faster and far more furious, so she slams her heavy boot down onto his wrist and watches as his eyes snap up to her - well, his good eye anyway. His face is covered in blood, nose crushed, one eye swollen shut and she can see the tears leaking from the corner of his good eye before running down his purple, swollen cheek. “Please..” He manages to croak out.
