He can't lie anymore, the truth of things bound to come out he struggles with pride, humiliation and trust along with the scars of the past. The avengers begin to see him past the 'God of mischief' and for his truer version as the anchor of chaos, growth and beauty within the anomaly.

Summary
Loki’s fingers, pale, thin things with the nails chewed off, dig into the flesh of his own palm. It’s hard to reconcile the Loki who killed eighty people in one day with the Loki that’s now sitting next to them, who’s trying to reduce the points of impact by holding himself tightly. It makes Tony wonder if maybe they were wrong about a few things.

“Why are you here?” he asks, and honestly Tony hates everything about this.
The forced conversational tone, the way Loki eyes him suspiciously like he’s just going to call the cavalry on him and be done with it, which is honestly what Tony should be doing right now. Six months ago Loki Odinson broke out of SHIELD custody at the price of two dead and five injured. Not to mention the property damage that of course Stark Industries covered in full. But something about Loki—maybe the soft pajamas, his messy hair, his bare feet on the cold floor, or the limp he’s trying to hide as he crosses the kitchen to get himself a glass of wine—makes Tony want to figure this out on his own first.
