“Family can be difficult, but we will always find our way back to the important people in our lives.” Zeus pats the spot next to him and Poseidon sits heavily. “Fate is peculiar like that, but sometimes it needs a little push.”
“I guess so.”
Poseidon seems downcast, his eyes no longer staring deep into his soul, instead down at the concrete, while his fingers fiddle with the loose strands of his backpack.
There’s something off about his brother. Zeus isn’t sure how he didn’t notice before. He’s missing his charisma as well as other important characteristics from his personality. And, well, he could blame it on his brother trying—and utterly, completely failing (because Zeus will never admit that Poseidon is better than him at something)—to cheer him up.
But the most concerning thing of all is the lack of godly aura surrounding him.
