    Summary

The question has been posed by history's finest philosophers: how is prangent formed?

One of Hua Cheng's caterpillars stows away on Xie Lian, who unwittingly smuggles it off to Puqi Shrine for an impromptu sleepover. Before he can return it to its home in Paradise Manor, the little creature goes into its cocoon, and mustn't be moved until it hatches.

And then, of course, the gossip train gets totally out of control until everyone thinks Xie Lian got knocked up.

    Summary

It was that same, unsettlingly neat, pretty, smooth handwriting that Feng Xin had come to appreciate over the many years of studying. This time though, the message was different.

    ‘Please be my friend.’

It was the same handwriting, yet the message had changed. Feng Xin found it to be extremely odd; why switch everything up now, after having already established a pattern for so long? Also, to ask a god for their friendship, wasn’t it too bold? Nevertheless, the fact remained that this person was extremely dedicated. Perhaps they had already found a friend and now wanted only to be closer to Feng Xin himself?

or, alternatively: Mu Qing has been lighting a lantern for Feng Xin every year and Feng Xin finds out. Xie Lian and Hua Cheng “help” the two talk it out.

"What exactly does partying look like?"

Shi Qing Xuan groans. "'What does partying look like,' he asks me," she laments. "Partying looks like drinking and dancing and having fun! You were a prince, you should know stuff like this."

"I was a serious cultivator," Xie Lian counters. "You may have heard of me." Hua Cheng laughs. "And anyway I'm not allowed to drink."

"Foolish Prince, Swordsman Poet, no rules, just right!" Shi Qing Xuan insists. "You can go back to being repressed tomorrow. But tonight who cares."

    --

No rules just right! Just for one night, though.
