Summary
Change is coming to Dorley Hall. Slowly, and with a great deal of complaining, but it is coming nonetheless. While they are still a long way from being a 'charitable' organisation, the selection process is becoming more... particular about what kind of boy finds themself waking up in one of those small, concrete cells.
Seen primarily through the eyes of one of these boys, this is a look at a (slightly) less coercive Dorley, and an intake that is a little different from those previous.
This story remains canon-faithful through book 4, and is set three years ahead of the original work so minor spoilers occur from chapter 2 onwards. It does also inevitably get a little dark on occasion, which shouldn't come as much of a surprise to Dorley readers. In general it's much nicer than the Dorley in the original story, though. Was what Kaname Madoka wished for in the last, disastrous timeline. With the god-like power at her disposal, this wish echoes across timelines and permeates throughout the world. When Homura wakes up in the hospital again, the new world couldn't be more different: She has overpowered new abilities, new family members(featuring, um, Clara dolls? WTF?), social media fame, Soulmate marks(wait...FIVE of them???), a nice Homulilly(kinda), new dimensions, and more.
But...were these cat ears and tail really necessary, Madoka?

Essentially, Homura is getting what she DESERVES. My girl has gone through too much suffering, and she'll finally get some fluff and comfort and flyswatting(well...after a tad bit more angst, perhaps. :) ). -

Kotone Shiomi was just a regular transfer student at Tokyo's Shujin Academy.
All she had been looking to do this school year was stick to her studies, make new friends, and maybe spend some time with her girlfriend Aigis. She most certainly had not been looking to fall into a castle, meet a gaggle of strange masked teenagers, and become a founding member of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts.
Hey, that was life, right? Right? But couple all that with the strange looks she was getting from one of her fellow transfer students, and the scattered visions of a boy in a yellow scarf that seemed to dog her steps...
