Summary
Based on Slewfoot by Brom, 1666 is a story that will still take place in a small Puritanical colony. Hermione and her husband, Ronald, are building a life together as newlyweds on the orchard that was left to Ronald and Hermione as a wedding gift before they passed away. When a tragic and fatal accident befalls Ronald, her brother-in-law, Percival, is more than happy to step in as Hermione struggles and take the orchard for himself.
Determined to successfully work the orchard herself, (yes folks… we're getting a serpent in a tree in the fic!) she starts making gifts to leave for the small folk, which are discovered by three nature spirits, Sky, Forest, and Creek. Their interest in her spreads to their Dark Father, their Lord, an ancient and dangerous deity known as Voldemort.
When Voldemort witnesses the cruel and unfair way Hermione is treated by the townsfolk, he sends his children for retribution. When Hermione is accused of being a witch and imprisoned, Voldemort himself arrives to take back what he's decided belongs to him, and to punish everyone in his way.
