    The original concept idea for my fic A Monster In Survival. This is a 1,000 special to that fic! Things were changes to make a better story however.

    Kai cannot escape the curse of the Land of Monsters. His mind begins to break and fall apart after years of isolation and pure survival. His body soon falls victim in a desperate chance of survival. (Dragon, instead of a moth in the final fic!)

     

    His family try and track him down and what they find... may not be Kai anymore.

    Lloyd was sick of the visions, of constantly being forced to watch misery unfold. It was exhausting him, and he was so insanely tired because of them. He needed to avoid them, just for a little while, and what better way to avoid sleep-related issues than simply not sleeping?

    The Overlord won. Everyone is gone, killed by his hand. But for some reason, Lloyd was spared. He doesn't know why. But he knows it wasn't mercy. Mercy would be letting him join his loved ones. Instead he is forced to watch the years roll by, unable to die thanks to blood he doesn't even understand. After hundreds of years watching darkness spread, the Green Ninja had long since given up hope. But the prophecy has not been fulfilled. And destiny, cruel as she may be, will not allow the Green Ninja to continue on alone.
