Summary
After the war against the Church of Seiros, Byleth and Edelgard settled themselves at the Enbarr palace, determining to bring a true peace upon the united Fodlan.
As the war on the surface had concluded, it was time to put an end to the mastermind of all the suffering, Those Who Slither in the Dark.
It was not a simple task for the Emperor of Flame to both recovering the damage to the citizens and waged yet another silent war against the shadow that had been looming over their land for decades. However, with her Wings of the Hegemon by her side, she had no doubt she could accomplish everything. And she also had her trusted Black Eagles Strike Force by the side no less.
But what she and Byleth did not expect from this war in the darkness was the fateful encounter with the sole survivor of the inhuman experiment, the scarred little girl that was soon to alter the tides of war. Unknowingly, this very girl would be the same one who would steal the heart of everyone she met, including Edelgard's and Byleth's. But when would they accept their gift?AKA

Summary
After the war with the Church of Seiros ended and Those Who Slither in the Dark had been compromised, the Emperor of the United Fodlan had devoted herself to the people, land, and nation's recovery. Not long after the people and the land had been revived, the Emperor announced her marriage with the one and only love of her life, the Wings of Hegemon. As they had vowed to be together forever under the greatest sun and the endless sky along with their trusted friends and the flood of gleeful citizens, she appointed her wife as the Empress of the United Fodlan. Indeed, later, the Emperor and the Empress never ceased to devote their life for the people.
However, as the peaceful reign was successfully set in action, they had more time for each other. And it was then when the Empress had to deal with the question that she had been kept close in regard to the Emperor's morning disappearance. -

Summary
“Oh Goddess,” Byleth says under her breath, her words heavy.
“Hmm?” goes Edelgard, still half asleep.
Byleth turns her head to look at the woman beside her, nestled among the bed sheets, bare skin just peeking out from underneath. The moonlight pouring in from the windows casts her in an almost ethereal glow. She stares long and hard at the woman, who begins to rub the sleep out of her eyes.
“We’re married,” Byleth manages.
“… Yes,” Edelgard answers, now suddenly quite awake. “We’ve been married for two years now.”
or
It dawns on Byleth that the war is finally over. Two and a half years later.
(It’s the simple things that move her heart. She’s so happy to finally feel like she’s found home.)

She turns away, hoping not to be noticed in the back where she's sequestered herself, hidden behind taller students all focused on the lecture and the clatter of wooden weapons. She can feel it now, her thicket of roses and their thorns that wind like vines from her lungs and through her ribs. They take the ground she possesses, day by day.
They take more when she's near.
