The first thing Louis did when they got to Regina’s shiny new apartment was tape blackout blinds onto all the windows. He was helping her move, which was unasked for and somewhat unappreciated. But, then again, he bought her a fucking apartment. So she could learn to suck it up and say thank you.
“Thank you, Daddy Lou!” The voice was cloying, sugar-sweet. It didn’t fit onto her life. She suspected it didn’t fit onto Claudia’s life, either.

But of course Lestat loved shedding blood and shearing through neck muscle and he loved power. He enjoyed his height over them, despite the fact objectively he wasn't even that tall. He enjoyed the sound of his voice whether it was babbling or shouting. He enjoyed the fact he could hand her a musket, teach her how to use it, and know that she couldn't blow his head off with it. She wouldn't even try.

However, the universe has a different plan for her, as she finds herself in the middle of a car crash, forcing her parents to fly in and meet for the first time in a while.

“She’s doing fine,” he says, leaning enough to bump shoulders with Lestat, as much affection as they dare engage in in public, even with the streets relatively empty in this part of town at this time of night. “She’s still new to this.” It’s the reason he’s even out with them. She’s improved in her self-control since her first hunt, but she’s still settling into her vampiric nature, and her best intentions of following instructions still sometimes fall prey to baser instincts, sending her darting off after less-than-ideal victims unless one of them catches her in time. “She’ll-” A flicker of sensation comes to his mind, the coiled tension of a cat about to pounce, and he turns sharply to find Claudia’s head fully above the wall, eyes focused unblinkingly on a woman stepping out of a car, her scent carried by the breeze to the little predator shifting to leap out of her hiding spot.
He moves to catch her when she goes to dart right after her would-be prey, Claudia hissing in primal frustration as he hauls her up despite her struggling against him.
They can practice her stalking another night.

Lestat De Lioncourt aka The vampire Lestat is a thirty two year old world famous rockstar with a vampire gimmick, invigorated by his complete and utter lack of participating in social norms, though a romantic at heart ignoring his diva-ish behavior that’s causing issues personally and professionally.
Realistically they never should’ve crossed paths let alone fell in love but thanks to Daniel Molloy making a documentary about Lestat and needing a camera man they do and boy do they fall.
