Dazai and Chuuya are basically married: sleeping in the same bed, going on dates at least twice a week, etc. The only thing that they haven’t done yet: have sex. And actually talk about their feelings.
On their seventh year of living in this kind of arrangement, Chuuya gets hurt during a job. He decides that he needs to date one of Dazai’s friends... so someone can take care of Dazai while he’s in the hospital.

He’s balancing on the ledges of the flooded sandbox with his arms out, trying not to fall when a familiar looking red, blue and yellow ball bounces over the ledge and lands in the water with a splash. It bobs on the surface of the water, floating around before finally settling in the middle.
“Oh no!”A whiny voice exclaims, sounds of gravel crunching beneath little light up All-Might themed velcro sneakers getting louder and louder, “My ball…”
Katsuki points at the ball, “That’s yours?”
The kid— he has dark green curly hair, sparkling eyes and cool little dots scattered across his face, concentrated on the bridge of his nose and his cheeks. Katsuki doesn’t know what they’re called and it pisses him off.

And yet, he fell asleep at night dreaming of freckled skin under his lips, spearmint toothpaste on his tongue anyways. The undying, ever growing affection had curdled into something ugly but it had never died. Even if Katsuki stays dead, it won’t die with him. It’ll live in the sticky-note he stuck on Izuku’s lunch yesterday that he knows the sentimental nerd kept, it’ll linger like bad cologne on the notebook he’d given Izuku when he ran out of pages.
His affection won’t have to outlive him, though. Because he’ll walk this purgatory of endless doors created by a curse of a quirk a million times before he lets Izuku lose the best thing about him. That perpetually heroic, perpetually bleeding heart.

All Might already knows it's for Izuku, but the question is not exactly about that and Katsuki is perfectly aware of it; he can see it in the soft smile of Izuku's mentor, he can see it in the way his blue eyes shine with knowledge.
Katsuki blushes, but he doesn't look away from the former symbol of peace. He's not that middle schooler hot-heated kid anymore. He's done hiding his feelings behind anger and he's not ashamed about what he feels for Izuku. He's pretty sure All Might knows about that, he's probably waiting for a confirmation.
Katsuki nods, blush spreading down his neck.
"It'll take years to make something like that."
"I'm aware."

"Ooh, are they nasty thoughts? Who does Chuuya want to get down and dirty with tonight?" Dazai had perked up, leaning in towards Chuuya's face. The redhead had shoved a hand at his face, pushing him back as he took a sip of the drink in his other hand. Against his hand, and still pushing into it, Dazai whined even more,"Why won't Chuuya look at me now? Let me see him! Is it because I sent away your suitor?"
And then, with a gasp that told Chuuya he was fucked, Dazai instantly stilled. There was a mad grin on his face, lightly flushed but smug no less, as he grabbed Chuuya's wrist lightly and pulled it down. Then, like a man who'd snagged the fabled fish of the lake, Dazai said, "Is it because Chuuya was thinking like that about m—mmph!"
