He didn’t know this wolf, and none of whatever was happening right now was his problem. For all he knew, the wolf could already be dead. So Jeongguk should just turn around and leave like he had intended to. It would be the wise thing to do.
However, unfortunately for him, Jeongguk had never been the wisest. That was why, without any proper plan on what to do, his legs started moving on their own accord. Before he knew it, he was already lunging into the water.
Jeongguk had spent months surviving in the forest on his own. By now, he'd long learnt that it was best to lay low and keep out of trouble. Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to abandon a fellow werewolf in need, fully knowing nothing good would come out of it. But hey, maybe he was just catastrophising again, right?
(Of course, it didn’t take long for a set of angry, overprotective mates to show up - all of whom seemed to have entirely misunderstood Jeongguk's intentions.)

“This is your home too,” Minho argued, moving to sit down on the side of Chan that wasn’t occupied by Felix. “You should feel comfortable here. Besides, humans don’t smell nearly as bad as some people make them out to be.”
Felix grinned, his cheek rubbing against Chan’s shoulder as he nodded his head. “And we can always scent you to mix your scent up— make you smell more like pack.”
Minho nodded in agreement. "Just because you’re human doesn’t mean you can’t be pack.”
And that was the crux of the problem, wasn’t it?
Chan wasn’t human.
OR
Chan is a vampire but that's a secret he's willing to take to his grave. Too bad his new dormmates aren't so easily fooled and will stop at nothing to make sure that Chan is taking care of himself. Even if they have to do it themselves.

“It’s not the first time we’ve had an omega wait out their heat in our guest bedroom. And since it’s just the two of us we figured you might be alright to nest in our home. We wouldn’t have tried anything—”
Chan shook his head, reaching down to lace his fingers with the alpha’s in reassurance. “I didn’t think you would have,” he breathed, still shocked that Minho and Changbin figured out he was going into heat before he did. “It’s just— it’s too early. My heat’s not due for another couple of months.”
Changbin swore, wrapping his arm around Chan’s shoulder as he bracketed the omega. “Shit,” he hissed. “You don’t think— did we cause it?”
He shrugged helplessly. “Considering I didn’t even realize? Probably. It’s fine though,” he reassured, feeling sick to his stomach at his next words. “It’s probably just a pseudo heat, you know? A day or two and I’ll be back to normal.”
OR
Chan keeps suppressing his heat. He knows it's not good for him but he's got it under control.
Until he doesn't.
