Summary
When Tony Stark decides they are no longer in the one timeline where they defeat Thanos, he takes matters into his own hands during the Time Heist to go back and never have that fight on Titan in the first place. It would have gone perfectly if the one person who always manages to get under his skin hadn’t interfered.
Steve Rogers just wants to fix the world he helped break and make sure the Time Heist goes off without a hitch, so how the hell did he and Tony end up all the way back in 2015, and how can he possibly work with Tony when so much betrayal lies between them?
Somewhere, the asset is alone with no mission, and far too many memories. He needs to be recalibrated, but if Hydra is really gone, then who is supposed to fix him?

When they fought the super-villain of the week, he knew what to do. He knew how to get his men in and out, how to minimize the damage. On the battlefield he gave the orders.
People always assumed that would transfer to the bedroom, as well.
