The last Horcrux fell, and with it, so did he.
Harry's blood was still warm when the sky burned gold-light of victory, they'd called it. But victory had tasted like ash. Everyone he'd loved gone, and the silence that followed was heavier than any curse.In the ruins of the Great hall, Harry had made a single, unthinkable wish. Not to undo it all-not to live forever-but to understand why.
Why it had to end this way. Why the not named Tom Riddle had become the monster who shattered everything.
The Resurrection Stone was gone. The Elder Wand cracked. But time itself... time listened.
When Harry opened his eyes, the world was sepia again-softer, older, untouched by war. The castle stood proud and unscarred. The banners were different, the whispers louder.
His scar was gone. His name was gone. And the sorting Hat whispered something new:
"You seek to know the root of darkness. Then wear a name born from shadow- Hadrian Vale."
He had gone back, not to change the past, but to walk through it.
And perhaps, to find the boy who would become his greatest sin.
