When he looked up, his face was a rosy pink beneath the candlelight, and little wisps of hair had escaped his topknot, falling loose over his cheeks. “What?”

Summary
Soap was the only person to notice that Ghost skipped breakfast.
He doesn’t question it, though, knows better than that, but he does keep it in the back of his mind. It’s easy to rationalise, though – it’s likely something Ghost had to do, decided to just eat on the go or skip and have a bigger lunch.
However, he does especially notice how Ghost didn’t come to warmups. How he skipped drills, debrief, lunch.
OR
Ghost goes into heat, and Soap helps him through it.

Yes, Ghost wants to say. He has so much feeling in them. They’re a part of his body, even if he wasn’t born with them on his head. Yes, he wants to say, because you’re touching them with your gentle fingers and it’s making me fucking crazy! You have no idea.
“No,” he says instead, his voice tight.
Or, Ghost has horns and Soap likes to touch them.

“Just don’t get clingy,” was the very first thing Ghost said to him, his voice cold and uncaring.
Soap rolled his eyes.
“Sure thing, big guy,” he said dryly, as if he found it amusing that the first thing Ghost did after meeting him was assume that there was nothing the omega would want more than to snuggle up into his side.
