Danny is on the run after escaping from a GIW facility where their scientists and his parents had been experimenting on him. Now on the run from the government and his family alike, he leaves Amity and his friends behind for their safety and his. Some years after being on the run, never staying in one place for long, he finds himself in Gotham, where he eventually reconnects with the Batfamily...except, they have no idea who he is. Danny knows them of course, but not in this time. Having been sent to the future and returned, he's not sure how to interact with these people he's met, but never known.

She's not helpful at all because she pushes his buttons. He's supposed to move on, but how can he when nightmares and flashbacks have him sleeping on the floor? He isn't sure he is living like he should be. His apartment is an empty Hell that he thinks he needs to suffer in.
Until he meets Claire. His neighbor across the hall who plays the cello every day, has two guinea pigs, and cooks amazing food. On top of that, she doesn't care if he was an assassin who was involuntarily used to shape the world by a criminal organization. All she cares about is giving him a place to run away from those demons in his closet. It just happens to be more than that.
