Summary
"We had come here to take a bath, didn't we?" Phainon made for a strange sight; kneeling between the prince's legs, as bare as the day he was born, yet he hadn't an ounce of shame. Not that it mattered. It was simply... amusing.
Mydeimos couldn't help but chuckle.
"I suppose we have," he said. Oh, but they were just in the midst of something wonderful. His head was still in a daze, his thoughts as sluggish as the heaviness of his pulse. Mydeimos raised himself to his elbows, yet his posture remained languid. "What if we move ourselves to the pool?"
"And... continue?" Phainon hoped.
The prince's smile was all that needed to be said.
Despite their many differences, their relationship has delved deeper than most would ever expect.

Summary
If Phainon had sensed his unease, he had done wrong to dismiss it through a flippant wave of his hand. "Mydeimos, you have my word, there's no need to worry—"
"Don't."
That was a horrible lie. The prince wouldn't be fooled by such a shallow plea. Even as he glared at Phainon, he found nothing but a stunned silence; and as he clasped the Deliverer's shivering hand into his own, he shut his eyes to rid that unsightly apprehension sewn onto his partner’s expression.
He took a deep breath to compose himself, but what he said remained steadfast.
"Don't tell me not to worry."
A mission out to Aidonia has thawed the prince's unwonted heart.

Summary
"Have I told you about the time he once personally gifted me a bouquet of flowers?" Laughter snuck through Mydeimos as he recalled that priceless scene. "The look on his face when I explained its meaning..."
"My word..."
"He meant no harm by it." Phainon had merely been issuing his own traditions, was all, "but his reaction will remain in my memory till eternal death."
"Of all the indignity..." Krateros shook his head, much like a disapproving elder who had witnessed a hilarious, blasphemous scene. "And you still deem him a worthy equal—nay, a suitor, Mydeimos?"
What a strange and weighted question. "And what if I do?"
There is no word for 'love' in the Kremnoan language, but there are alternatives.

Summary
Alstroemeria. A flower most revered within Castrum Kremnos; something that signified one's everlasting faith, their undying loyalty, and fierce passion toward a dearly treasured soul.
However, seeing it presented in a bouquet, wrapped in fine silk ribbons and arranged as a gift of worship...
Mydeimos couldn't help himself.
A bubbling sensation filled his lungs before it burst forth into raw, hearty laughter. His cheeks burned, his shoulders trembled, and his heart ached through the strain of his volume.
Phainon takes Mydei out on a date to experience a few traditions once practised in Aedes Elysiae.

Summary
“To be honest, Mydeimos,” he says shakily, “I wish I had the courage to say what I wanted to say before you left. I wish I had the… I guess the selfishness to ask for what I want without reservations. I wish for a lot of things regarding you. And I pray for a lot of things from you as well. There are a lot of regrets I hold surrounding you. And I will probably hold them for a long time.”
Mydei slowly straightens his posture, eyeing Phainon critically.
“There is nothing stopping you from telling me now,” he says. “This is your prayer, after all.”
(In which Mydei hears the people’s prayers in the form of dreams.)
