The old rat turned to the sound, worried. He was about to go out to find out about his sons’ whereabouts, but all that was forgotten when he heard the urgency in the voice.

“Donatello,” Splinter spoke, “What is wrong, my son?”
He froze when his child appeared in his field of vision. Donatello seemed extremely shaken and out of breath, his younger brother being carried limply on his shoulders.

There’s that question again. Trevor’s face is doing that thing it does, the usual wildness replaced with something Michael can’t make out. He hates that look. He'd take furious Trevor, gun-in-hand Trevor, over this one every time. He goes to take another sip from his whiskey, but there’s nothing left at the bottom of the cup.
“I’m good, T. Tired, didn’t sleep well last night.”
Trevor looks at him from across the couch, eyes narrowed, irritated. “You can tell me if you’re having a shit time, man, I’m not going to make a thing out of it.”
“It’s not a thing, would you just drop it? I’m fine. Really fucking good, actually.”
Trevor looks at him again, lips pursed in annoyance. At that moment, Michael thinks about how he could always kill himself.

It’s the third morning in a row that he chokes down a true Los Santos breakfast: half a handful of painkillers, and a black coffee with a splash of whiskey. He should ditch his good boy job that doesn’t involve robbing banks or stealing government weapons and just be a chef instead.
Micheal rubs his free hand over his face and considers asking about an antipsychotic medication the next time he goes to the doctor.
Truth is, it’s been a real shitty couple of days.

A Spinosaurus mirabilis is not meant to be roaming the tropics of Appalachia, 11,000 kilometers from home.
Not this island, full of creatures unknown to posterity and the individual, after an impossible journey. And yet, the adult female roamed the buzzing tropics of Southern Appalachia, the very bottom of the landmass, and near the endless expanse of water that will come to be named the Western Interior Seaway.
And so, the Mirabilis, on her meandering journey to be fed to the fungi and scavenging Dryptosaurus, comes across it in a wrecked clearing.
