    Over a millennium has elapsed since the Guanyin Temple tragedy, and the world, including the realm of cultivation, has undergone profound changes. In the desolate and chilling darkness of the woods, hidden deep within an forest untouched by time, where crystal-clear waters cascade down towering cliffs and silence reigns beneath the moonlit sky, a solitary figure rests beside a secluded waterfall. Draped in flowing pastel violet robes, the man appears almost ethereal, as though he were an immortal descended from the heavens.

    His bare feet drift lazily beneath the cool, jade-coloured water while sleep quietly claims him, his carefully braided hair gradually unravelling in the gentle breeze.

    Unbeknownst to him, another presence emerges from the darkness. Dressed in immaculate mourning white robes, a cloud-patterned forehead ribbon resting neatly upon his brow, the stranger approaches with soundless steps before taking a seat beside the sleeping man. His calm composure conceals centuries of longing as trembling fingers gently brush against the other's cheek.

    His voice is scarcely more than a whisper, nearly lost beneath the endless murmur of the waterfall.

    "A-Cheng... you cannot leave me again..."

    That was more than two decades ago.
