“Okay, but what are the rules?”
Ravi stares. “The rules for…?”
“Casual sex.”
Ravi continues to stare. It is 5:39 in the morning.
Buck keeps talking, unprompted. “I can’t just go back to Buck 1.0. Bobby will not give me a third chance if I steal the ladder truck again.”
“You don’t need to steal the ladder truck to have casual sex.”
Buck huffs, as if Ravi is intentionally missing the point. “Well, yeah, but who knows what Buck 1.0.2 would be capable of.”
Ravi shakes his head. “I really need the software updates to stop.”
or, an au where buck broke up with taylor before 5b, ravi and buck become (actually platonic) friends with benefits, and ravi, eddie, and buck all go on a journey of self-discovery that ends with them all getting what they need

Summary
“Your boy will be strong and fast. Steadfast in both mind and heart. He will grow to be something of pride.”
“And…” the man’s eyes passed over the youth. It stared keenly, watching as the man flinched away when he set eyes upon it, “the other one…?”
“Shall be left to the fates design. I will do no more.”Before it returned the cherub to them, it touched the child gently on the forehead, marking it with the Wild of the Water.
The child, too small to understand the gift he had been given, looked back at it without a hint of fear or disdain. He was too young yet to feel otherness, too pure of heart. Perhaps with the Water’s help, he never would.
It watched the man and the woman return to their mortal land with the boy, and it wondered what they would make of its trickery.
After all, it hadn’t lied. It had promised one of their sons would grow to be strong and sure, and that another would be left to chance.
It simply hadn’t told them which son.

Summary
Buck wouldn’t be making that face at Tommy, because Buck was straight. Buck was straight and Tommy was straight. Buck had been jealous of Tommy’s friendship with Eddie five minutes ago, there was no way he’d be making that face unless—
Tommy’s hand darted forward, fingertips landing in Buck’s palm, which was upturned on the table, drawing a teasing pattern against his skin. Tommy was giving Buck a look too. Slightly narrowed, intense eyes. Smirk pulling his lips up.
He was looking at Buck like a predator stalking its prey. Buck was blinking up at him through his lashes like he was happy to be hunted.
Somehow, he had convinced himself that it was him and his friendship that Buck was jealous over. That Buck was scared of losing him, and acting a little crazy about it.
He was used to Buck being a little crazy about things— so what?
It had never even crossed Eddie’s mind that he might be the obstacle Buck was trying to get rid of.

What if the still of Eddie watching Buck and Tommy's first date had actually made it to air? What if Eddie had witnessed their first date?

Summary
Whatever retort Eddie thought he was expecting, this was not it. Empty eyes and a mirthless laugh; a tight-lipped smile that might as well have been a grimace, a slow nod before Buck dragged his gaze back up to flit across the team’s faces and land, finally, on Eddie’s.
He almost missed it – a flash of something cold across dull blue eyes, there and gone in the same moment: resignation, or catharsis, or apathy – something cruelly familiar and dangerously absolute.
“I should have died under that truck. At least then, you would still have been my family.”
