“Munson,” Harrington mutters, barely moving his lips. “What the fuck do you think you are doing?”

“GET THE FUCK OFF ME!”
Eddie frowned and his head swivelled around when he heard the shout. Whoever that was, they didn’t sound happy.
He took a drag of his cigarette, before dropping it to the ground, scrubbing it with his foot, and started to move. Leaving behind the building’s shadow as he made his way further out into the parking lot, shifting between the parked cars of the Hideout as he followed the sound of angry voices.
He paused as he came around the side of a car, his surprise at the scene in front of him making him freeze, Steve Harrington was possibly the last person he expected to see in the Hideout’s parking lot at 11pm.

Summary
Scents are about connections, so they only become defined once you have a connection with someone. Yes, some scents can determine compatibility, but only scentmates can smell individual notes right off the bat.
Steve’s never had an easy time with scents, rarely getting close enough to anyone to get much past omega-sweet, alpha-musk, or beta-fresh. At least until he starts fighting monsters.

Summary
Eddie always held the babies with a firm, constant pressure, as if he needed the sensory feedback of their weight against his chest. When his daughter got fussy, he didn’t rock her in the traditional way. Instead, he lifted her and turned her gently in a predictable pattern: left, pause, right, pause, up, pause, down. A dance of constellations that calmed the little girl instantly.
It had taken Steve a while to realize that these weren’t quirks. It was Eddie processing the world, finding his own rhythm in the chaos of fatherhood.

“Why’re you here?” Steve doesn’t mean for it to come out so blunt, but the shock of seeing Eddie here is enough to startle any manners he has left right out of him. “I told you I’m sick.”
“Uh, yeah, exactly,” Eddie says in a duh sort of voice. “You’re sick. And you’re home alone. So I brought you flowers and soup and some other shit, and I’m going to stay here and take care of you.”
“I can take care of myself,” he protests, and is immediately thrown into a coughing fit so intense it doubles him right over.
“I’m sure you can, tough guy,” Eddie says, pressing a kiss to his cheek. Steve can feel the curve of his smile against his skin and leans into it with a sigh. “But maybe you don’t have to. Ever think of that?”
