For just as divine, it felt just as heavy today. Weighted with the test about to be carried out.
“Vessel, in the past you’ve have been told to uphold the protection and safety of both this kingdom and its crown. Until I state otherwise you are to disregard those orders.”
The crowd holds their breath, the knights with weapons drawn ready to spring.
“Vessel, I command you to kill me.”

Summary
A day in Mentopolis is mere moments to The Big Guy. And even then, when the city is sluggish, time doesn’t seem all that consistent here either. What minutes and days literally are is quite meaningless to the average citizen of the city.
The Fix only considers the concept of measuring passing time because a lot has happened in so little time. It’s the coming of a new era for everyone, both for citizens of Mentopolis and for The Big Guy himself.
In which The Fix speculates on this new chapter driven by pleasure in Mentopolis, and for himself.

Hollow gave a silent huff. Mostly they were amused. Grimm moved to lay a hand on his forehead to play the part.
“Whatever would I do without my big strong knight to fight on my behalf~? Oh, woe would be me! Woe! So delicate and fragile I’d just fall apart at the prospect of dealing with it myself~!”
They silently chuckled as he ran with the bit.
“Is that how you think of me my darling, such a delicate thing you must personally intervene, and it will solve everything?” He snickered, being playful did help his mood.
“Not everything. You will always bite and have an attitude.”
In which Grimm wallows and Hollow teases him out of his head. (For just a little bit.)

“Of course you should.” He warned. “What do you know of royal status? Of the innate power that comes with it? What do you know of lavish treatments and staking claim in ornate luxuries?”
Grimm’s claws were gripping on either leg, effectively keeping Hollow where they were.
“I’ve staked a claim on you, haven’t I?” A subtle tilt of their mask hides any annoyance with Grimm’s claws. More curiously was such a bold statement that brought heat to Grimm’s face.
Bastard keeps getting to him in a way that made his heart skip.
“I’m flattered to be compared to a luxury fit for royalty my darling,” He purred, devious intent in his eyes prompted Hollow to tense against his grip. “But perhaps you should get a lesson on how to enjoy the finer luxuries in life~”
“What is there for me to learn?” They laughed.
In which Grimm and Hollow spend some quality time together, and demonstrate improper piano usage. (He doesn't care, the view was worth it.)

“I’m not the one putting myself in harm’s way—”
“Oh darling but you are!” He sat up perhaps too quickly, vision swimming for a moment, a fire in his eyes. “You are! Quite a show it will be too I must say.”
In which Grimm is so exhausted by everything. By his realm falling apart which is making him decay, by the stress of trying to recover something of the dream realm, and most importantly, by Hollow who insists on staying far too close despite the danger of a runaway fire.

“I know, I know, enderman moment. But I love you.” Her mother’s voice is soft yet strong, like the climbing roses she was so fond of.
“I love you too mama.” Her voice is soft too, though in a different way, more like spider silk.
“Alright. Let’s go.” She took her daughter’s hand.Alexis, a young villager child, likes her routines. She likes going to school in the dimly lit library and she likes eating the same breakfast and lunch every day. She also decidedly doesn't like eye contact, among other normal things, which is noticeable enough to be teased for it. The little girl with too many enderman moments. One day, a neighboring Enderman decides to find out why it and the girl have in common for her to be teased with its name so much.
Kinship sure does develop in odd ways.

Hollow wasn’t prepared for this in the slightest. Grimm had said some alluring things to the former vessel to rile them up. Sweet things, promiscuous things, to get a rise out of them. Words that brought a great heat to their mask. Words that made their mind and body buzz.
Grimm riles Hollow up and they get very bothered. The needy void god has to rely on the troupe master's attention to provide them with some much needed relief.

The last thing Grimm really needed was learning that his grandmother died, not that it was something anyone truly needs or wants to hear. However, no matter how inconvenient of a time or messy of a situation is, he's gonna pick himself up and carry on. He has to really; he has no choice. The show must go on after all. His son needs him.

Jamack frowned at his shoes. Even though his tie wasn’t the only one cut that day, it always did feel like a majority of the blame fell onto him. After all, he was leading the group on the assignment. An assignment he went out of his way for. It cost them all everything they ever knew.
Set in an AU where Harris and Kwat were also clipped for the Megabunny incident, the Underfrog trio spent months on their own. It was messy and tense at first, but over time they learned to be real pack together. Now, they find themselves on the edge of familiar territory and some Mod Frogs aren't excited to see them back.
