Welcome to my Dr. Wayne AU! In this universe, Bruce chooses a healthy outlet for his grief and decides to become a doctor instead of a furry. And with no other superheroes or villians running amok, everyone is much happier. But don't worry, Bruce's kids still find their way into his life.

Only two words, yet Bruce stilled, bound by ice-cold terror.
Batman places his big hand on the boys scrawny shoulder and persistently guides him forward, to Bruce. Before Wayne can process this statement and make up a response, Batman dissolves into shadows.
They're gonna have a talk about dropping off random kids by his door.
The child and he observe each other for one long moment. Bruce sees tired, but feisty blue eyes, haggard face..

Alfred, Dick, and these two guys he just met—Tim and Damian—were acting strange, and Jason couldn't figure out why. Also, where was Bruce in all this, and why won't they let him see his dad?
Or, Jason gets de-aged back to 15 years old and the family is panicking about Jason finding out that he did in fact die, so they decided not to tell him. Bruce is out of country anyway, so they won't have to think about teenage Jason, aka Jason before he died Jason and Bruce, aka emotionally constipated, self-blaming, was definitely spiraling to the point of no return when Jason died, Bruce meeting.
No one thought it would be a good idea.

Clark Kent is a clumsy journalist with a big problem. He has been obsessed with Gotham’s billionaire Bruce Wayne for months, and that obsession is slowly turning into something more like genuine romantic admiration. Determined to get closer, he hatches a plan to have Batman deliver his messages to Bruce Wayne without ever saying a word himself.
Of course, nothing goes as planned. Signals get hilariously crossed, schemes backfire, and Clark ends up tangled up in more chaos with Batman while still obsessing over Bruce Wayne. He has no idea that Mr. Wayne and Batman are actually the same man.

Alfred finds himself left with a little boy to care for. Not just any boy, but a Wayne, destined for greatness like his parents. He does his best to raise him, and it hurts his heart - really it does - but sometimes that means discipline.
Bruce knows he’s not good. Well aware that he deserved what Alfred gave him when he was a child. But now that he has children of his own, Bruce can’t fathom disciplining them like he was.That doesn’t mean Alfred was wrong to inflict those punishments on Bruce. Bruce deserved it. Just not his kids.

Duke sputtered as Bruce's massive gauntlet-clad fingers fumbled clumsily at the edges of his helmet. "B—Batman, I swear if you break my mask—"
Bruce ignored him, growling low in frustration when he couldn't find the release mechanism (because Duke had learned from Jason’s horror stories and installed a biometric lock).
Steph landed nearby. "Oh my god, I think he’s trying to check your temperature like a sick kid. B, we have literal thermometers in the suits."
Dick swung down next to them. "Nah nah nah, this is classic Batdad behavior—first comes the baby-carrying, then comes the 'must inspect child for ouchies' phase." He leaned in toward Duke. "He did this to me once after Fear Gas. Held me up by the armpits to check for head wounds."
Bruce finally gave up on removing Duke’s helmet, only to press their foreheads together with an audible thunk. "...No fever?"
Yeah. He was definitely a little inebriated on the gas.
Duke went completely still. "...Did you just headbutt me?"
"Safe?"
Duke was starting to realize why everyone called Bruce "Caveman B" when drugged. (Damnit, Crane.)

Chaos.
Pure chaos.
Downtown Gotham City had gone to hell. The place was an absolute mess — in fact, calling it a mess was an understatement. Gotham shimmered like it had gone mad: cars levitated inches too high; graffiti shifted when no one looked; even the shadows seemed to dance. Chaos grinned in every windowpane. And behind it lurked an interdimensional imp — a creature with obscene power, far too much for anyone’s good — spreading madness as a result of trying to fanboy over his favourite hero. Every spark of chaos was one of his well-meant ideas let loose.
“Nightwing!” Tim barked at his comms eyes locked on Gotham — alive, wild, awake. It was wrong, The city wasn’t supposed to move like this.
