Heroes don’t need to be saved.
Or: Pro Hero Hawks was raised by the Hero Public Safety Commission, to be the perfect Hero of the new era. To not only save the day and present a perfect image the public can fully, unequivocally put their trust in, a blueprint for the new rising standard, but to also be capable of whatever it takes to maintain safety and order in a chaotic society of ever changing Quirks and dangers.
Truly, whatever it takes.
But definitions such as good and evil, chaos and order, justified or abnormal, can change drastically depending on who is pulling the strings.

Summary
The premise of this world is that Dabi comes across Stain on the streets early and they team up to become the Hero Killers, plural, long before the League. They end up accidentally rescuing Shouto from Endeavor and then sort of taking him and Hitoshi in (long story). It’s also an A/B/O where Shouto has been severely abused by Endeavor, and the HPSC is super corrupt, and Hitoshi’s quirk gets progressively stronger and stronger the more he pushes it. There are some dark themes here, but the outcomes will be HAPPY ENDINGS.

After a moment of just staring at each other, Shouto gets up and goes over to their ratty couch, almost flopping onto it as he hugs Dabi tightly. Hitoshi joins him not a moment later, latching onto him like the little leech he is too. Dabi sighs one of his long suffering, what-have-I-gotten-myself-into sighs as he hugs them. He’s tempted to deflect from the seriousness of the mood by switching topics, by bringing up Shou’s impending thirteenth birthday, or by cracking a joke…
But in the end he doesn’t.
It sucks, but they need to be at least somewhat prepared for the idea that when Dabi does go out, it won’t be glory, but it’ll be a blaze.

Summary

Fumikage Tokoyami has a good life. He's not exactly in the top ten, but he's got his own agency that he just built from the ground up, a cool intern-turned-sidekick that he hopes to promote soon, supportive friends, some nice guitars, a decent apartment.
If he could just let go of his teenage obsession with Hawks and accept that his former mentor is in the wind, his future would be golden. But Hawks has been spotted doing some very shady things, in the company of a certain arsonist, and Fumikage needs to know what he's up to. Desperately. Probably stupidly.
Confronting Hawks by himself is definitely a stupid move. The former hero is incredibly dangerous, and with Dabi as potential backup? Yeah, it's not his most brilliant plan. But he has faith that Hawks won't hurt him, and it's the only way he can think of to get him to talk...
This is a long, winding story about broken boys coming together, coping with trauma in healthy and not so healthy ways, attempting to negotiate relationship boundaries in a broken world and find justice in a broken system, and prevent as much suffering as possible along the way.

The basic Sandrock story but not really. Some dialog is canon, but most isn't. Kat is a little unhinged. Spoilers for The Goat and everything after. Assumes readers are familiar with the game.
This is my first time posting anything anywhere. I've never intentionally let anyone read anything I've written outside of required school assignments, which was a long time ago. Please be gentle. I have no idea what I'm doing, and I have no idea where this is going.
I'll update tags as I figure out what they are. Everything is subject to change. Anything, and I mean ANYTHING, is fair game as I figure out what these characters will do. I rewrite regularly. Sorry, not sorry.
I have a lot of ideas but I’m not sure if they’ll wind up all being squished into this story or if I’ll write another. We will see how it goes.
