“I don’t know,” Toshinori replies slowly, honestly, and avoids Aizawa's piercing gaze.
Aizawa scoffs. “What, isn’t that what you always wanted to be? An icon for the world to look up to?”
Toshinori wonders whether Aizawa is an aggressive type of drunk.
Or: All Might saves a bristly Aizawa from a collapsing building and falls head over heels in love, but Aizawa is a stubborn bastard and doesn’t want anything to do with All Might, featuring a deep dive into Yagi’s tormented mental health and his fear of being anyone other than All Might. (please be mindful of the tags, this gets heavy in some places!)

Summary
Toshinori is extremely sick following his battle with All for One, and Shota is unwillingly roped into the caregiver role. He realizes he cares far more than he wants to admit.
This is a caretaking-themed/whump-themed story with plot, told from Shota's POV. It focuses on Shota's complicated relationship with Toshinori and how their opposing worldviews breed conflict- but ultimately understanding. Hizashi's opinions are also sprinkled throughout as he gets dragged into their conflict.
I also just really like to write about Toshinori suffering and subsequently healing. If you like that, too, then this fic is for you!

Summary
Toshinori falls unexpectedly ill while he's training Izuku to inherit One for All. In a twist of fate, this drags Inko into his life. She begins to unravel Toshinori's secret. Meanwhile, Izuku deals with his insecurities about becoming All Might's successor, and his rivalry with Bakugou impedes his progress.
The entirety of this fic takes place within the 10 months that Izuku was training with All Might. It is an AU in which Inko got involved instead of remaining oblivious to what was going on.
