Summary
Disaster strikes the Hail Mary on its way back to Earth. The taumoeba escape their breeding tanks, and make it to the fuel lines. Stranded in space just outside the Tau Ceti system, Dr Ryland Grace can't do anything. He can't go save Rocky, he can't go save Earth. Exhausted, out of options, and distraught, he fills the ship with nitrogen, and takes his final breath.
Next thing he knows, his eyes flutter open in his San Francisco apartment. It's a year before ArcLight touches down on Earth, but he remembers the Petrova Task Force.

Summary
Dr. Ryland Grace is an odd man.
When Eva Stratt first approaches the man, he's not alone.
She was under the impression that he had no loved ones, but the way that he looks at the man casually lounging on his desk, his face obscured from his dark hair cascaded in front of it, with such fond adoration, Stratt realizes that rather her sources were incorrect or this is a new development.

“What are you talking about?” Grace's fingers played quick chords as he spoke. He didn’t even look as he did it, but it did not make them any less purposeful.
“Discussing possible reasons why Tau Ceti is not infected while other stars are,” Eva replied deftly. “I would invite you to join, but we were just finishing—”
“Oh, that’s easy.” His hand twisted a knob, and the notes came out sharper. “It is infected—Petrova Line and everything.”
In Grace's opinion, dreaming about time traveling is no excuse for getting out of practice with his Eridian. To the rest of the Petrova Taskforce, it seems a bit odd that their resident Astrophage expert has suddenly taken to carrying a keyboard around and playing it whenever he speaks. Eva Stratt resolves to figure out what is going on.

Summary
Grace and Rocky have done it. They've saved the stars! ...Now, they have to save themselves.
Grace only has a few months of "food" left on the Hail Mary. Rocky's mind has begun to splinter under the stress of his mission. Adrian is there to support them--both of them, in time--but has also had their own share of troubles while Rocky has been away. On top of it all, Erid itself seems to be of two minds about the arrival of the Hail Mary.

Explores the time between the arrival at Erid, and the Epilogue chapter of the book. Borrows from both book and film canons. Is definitely an AU with a lot more room for whump in it.
