Agen pulled his Padawan into his arms once more, tightening an arm around his shoulders.
"Everything will be fine my Padawan, you don't have to worry. This is a diplomatic wedding, they're not going to risk hurting me."
Tan sighed, his eyes closed, he'd never been able to convince his Master of the falsity of his point of view, and he knew he still couldn't, but as a determined Zabrak, he wasn't going to give up for anything, and it didn't matter that he was human, he was a Zabrak at heart.
"You're going to marry the Jedi killer," he began flatly, before continuing, accentuating each addition, "who killed a former Fallen Jedi apprentice and has several hundred thousand lookalikes warriors trained to be better than him, how do you find this scenario as positive?"
" It's not so much the scenario that's positive, but what it implies."
"And what does our current situation imply?" Tan asked hopefully, for he had never heard such a justification from his Master."
"Mandalorians live dangerous lives, hopefully Jango Fett will die and I will return to the Temple a poor, grieving and tearful widower."

Summary
Thanks to some scheduling issues, Commander Fox is the Guard who goes to Kamino to pick up the new batch of shinies. When he arrives, though, he's half out of his mind with dehydration and pain. Somehow, this results in Palpatine getting arrested, Boba Fett coming home, and a not insignificant amount of requited love. Not in that order.
This was supposed to be a 2k romance. Instead it's a 20k hurt/comfort recovery fix-it.
