Slender hands find their way round Sandrone’s shoulders and turn her so they’re face-to-face. Columbina studies her carefully, tilting her head and observing her with care from each and every angle until she gathers her evidence into a solid conclusion.
“The color is lovely,” hums the girl as she taps a finger to her lips, “but that’s a given when it comes to you, now isn’t it?”
Sandrone’s cheeks pink beneath her many layers of foundation. She hopes the coverage is enough such that Columbina does not notice.
In which Sandrone is testing out her lipsticks for an evening ball, and Columbina gets in on the action.

“Meaning?” the former Harbinger prodded, a hint of mischief in her voice.
“Meaning, you can stay here for tonight if you want,” Sandrone directed, trying to hide the apprehension in her voice. “Go back to Nod Krai tomorrow, it's not like you have urgent matters to attend to.”
After the tea party, Sandrone invites Columbina to stay for the night.
