    Izuku Midoriya has been beaten down, abused, and bent to his limit, and after a traumatic injury almost breaks him, Izuku finds the resolve he needs to challenge the world that tried to destroy him. Using his knowledge of invention passed down to him from his father, Izuku decides to force the world to see his worth. To show them that you don't need a quirk to be worth it in this world.

    Unfortunately, when you challenge the world, the world tends to fight back...

    Professor Oak needs to figure out what ash has gone through that ash won't tell him due to Ash's unfortunate habit of not talking about the things he's gone through. He manages to figure out how, but there is way too much for one professor to go through.
    So why not have Ash's friends go through it?
    Professor Oak swears this is a great idea, professor kukui is nearing a heart attack.

    "Exile still seems the best option, Stoick..."

    Stoick should have known better. While he didn't know much about his son-especially now-he knew the boy was clever. It should have been no surprise when a guard burst into the Council Meeting and revealed that Hiccup had escaped the cell Stoick put him in...hours after the boy was revealed to have saddled a dragon.

    Hiccup is gone, and so is the beast.

    They search, but do not find him. Berk falls asleep one night and awakens in the Great Hall, where the torches come to life and cast an image of their isle on the wall, from which floats Hiccup's voice, years younger.

    AKA, Hiccup forfeited the final challenge, leaving Astrid with the right to kill the Nightmare. Story picks up in the Race to the Edge era, except Berk never learned the truth of dragons, no one knows how Hiccup really lost his leg, and stories of a hooded 'vigilante' riding a Night Fury have been long whispered...and Berk will see it all unfold.
