Summary
Eda didn’t know what to expect when she stepped through the portal door when she was trying to run from her mother and all of the suffering she caused. But what other choice was there? It was either facing the unknown or submitting to whatever treatments her mom thought would cure the curse. The choice was obvious in her mind.
Then the door locked itself and Eda was left trapped in a vibrant forest full of life so unlike the Boiling Isles. She was thankful a kindly old man allowed her to take shelter in his home. There was just a problem though.
He was human. Magicless creatures mocked and belittled by Witches and Demons alike. But as Eda explores the Human Realm and interacts with more humans, she learns there’s more to them than simply being magicless. And maybe, just maybe, Eda could learn from humanity.
