Summary
Following Lizzie's sudden death, Joel sinks into an intense depressive episode. His roommate, Scar, does what he can to help break it.
This all comes to a conclusion when Joel fails to check the rear window before backing up his car.

He fumbled with the wheel and slammed on the break just as there was a sharp crunching sound.
His hammering pulse roared in his ears and tears burned hot as they fell. Joel could barely breathe but wrestled the car into a stop and scrambled out of his seat, almost falling to the pavement.
There was a person there, on the ground, but Joel couldn't look anywhere but the spot where a leg disappeared under his tire. A small trail of dark blood creeped out from it.
“Gods,” Joel choked on his breath, “Gods.”

“Well,” Scott winces as his cramps seize up again. “Actually, I might just stay at the base for today. Do some farming? Maybe move some things around, make the area look cuter. It’s kind of my whole schtick.” He gestures vaguely, hoping his smile is more convincing than it feels.
Impulse gives him a concerned look.
Probably not, then.
“Are you okay? You look a bit pale.”
“You do?” Gem asks, alarmed, immediately facing him with cheeks puffed out like a chipmunk’s. Scott laughs lightly, and she quickly swallows her food. “You do.”
Or: Scott is on his period without painkillers. Luckily, he has two bandmates willing to do anything to help him feel better, including retrieving his boyfriends for a much needed cuddle session.

Summary
"Since you’re the son of two empires, which one do you think you’ll rule when you’re older?"
Hermes is stressing out about the future where he'll eventually have to choose between his papa or his dad's empire to rule. This causes him to secretly weigh the pros and cons of each empire and try to sit in on meetings. At his week in Sanctuary, Hermes realizes he might be able to control the weather which is another thing to worry about. All of this stress cumulates to one evening when a powerful storm hits Sanctuary.
