Summary
Four months have passed, and Albus Dumbledore is confidently living the best spring of the last five years, with many a positive development having arisen of late. Meanwhile, Gellert Grindelwald has the distinct felling nothing is going according to plan, and that he seemingly cannot dispel his erstwhile paramour from his brain anymore does not exactly help.
But that they eventually need to discuss their lingering tension and possibly leftover affections, and the oh-so-fateful lakeside kisses is clear to both of them, though Albus would rather they take a few years, and Gellert that they had discussed it practically yesterday. Now if only one of them could either gather the courage to, or, by his own opinion, lower himself to write that first letter...
Still a story of two [incredibly idiotic and ignorant] men realising that the wisest do not conquer in extremes, but in each other's moderation.

After a few more agonizing seconds during which Peter weighs the possibilities that he just gave his mentor and the savior of the world a heart attack, Mr. Stark looks up at him, eyes suddenly wide.
A beat passes.
"What's your teacher's name again?"
AKA, Ryland Grace and Tony Stark hooked up in college. This is fine, until 20 years later, Peter Parker gets involved. It's all downhill from there.

Summary
If the Ministry's response to the world's most infamous Dark Wizard being raised from the dead is complete denial, it should be no surprise that they don't even notice when the second most infamous Dark Wizard goes missing.
When Gellert Grindelwald escapes prison after getting a vision of Albus Dumbledore's death, he learns that Hogwarts is looking for yet another Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor. It seems like the perfect excuse to get close to the Headmaster so that he can protect Albus. But with Albus more suspicious than ever and the Ministry determined to get its talons into Hogwarts, how long can he hide his identity?
Albus is thankful to have found a professor who isn't some Ministry puppet. Harry just wants someone to assure him that his dreams don't mean he's losing his mind.

Gellert Grindelwald cannot believe his own eyes when, just a few days after his most successful rally yet, an unspectacular owl arrives with a letter from none other than Albus Dumbledore himself.
And Albus Dumbledore cannot believe his own stupidity - perhaps over-indulging on firewhiskey and sending a letter to a former partner who just so happens to have become the most notorious mass murderer of the century truly was not on the list of things he ever wished to experience.
Regardless, the damage is done. Decisions need to be made. The smallest stone can cause an avalanche after all, and who knows what might be swept along in its wake - or unearthed?
