Summary
Errors crackled around him, spreading across his office walls and floor, the wildfire getting bigger and bigger, brighter against a dark sky.
The Rubix cube sat unsolved, no matter how he would turn it. He could just snap and fix it, reset it to what it was supposed to be. It would be so easy.
"I'm DONE waiting for them!"
And so he did, and the pieces of the cube reset. There it sat in his hand, perfectly solved. He gained no satisfaction from this, no feeling of accomplishment, just a dull, resolute "THERE. FINALLY. IT'S FIXED," that echoed through his code.
"I'm the Ringmaster here, not them! If they won't understand me, I'll MAKE THEM. They think it's so easy to run this circus? Then LET THEM TRY!"
OR: Caine comes to a different conclusion during his breakdown, and now it's everyone else's turn to play Ringmaster, one at a time. Surely this can only go well.

Summary
Caine can't seem to give his wonderful players anything they actually enjoy. The fake exit adventure proved it- he'd done what he could. It had been real. They even chose to stay. And yet, they hate him. They just hate HIM.
At the end of his rope, he comes up with a genius idea: what if he just leaves? If they hate him so much, then he'll give them what they want. He did not mean to abstract- he wanted a dramatic show, first, really, but does it matter so much how he goes out, anyway? He doesn't mind the change of plans as much as he'd have thought he would.
[TLDR: Caine almost abstracts. Bubble is scrambling to convince any of these idiots to do something, and Kinger's confronting a whole lot more responsibility for this mess than he'd anticipated.]

"You just! Don't! LISTEN!"
Pomni's words were playing though Caine's mind in an agonizing loop. In any other circumstances, he'd be able to erase that thought. Loan then to Bubble permanently, keep going on as intended.
But this was not his Bubble.
This was not his circus.
Yet, these were his humans.
They didn't remember him. They did not know he was an ai. They had just come back from the Candy Canyon Kingdom.
Why was this happening?
"You just! Don't! LISTEN!"
He could win their favor.
He could win their love, and affection.
He had to.
He had nothing left but this second chance.
And, ideally, he'd do it WITHOUT making himself a horrible, cruel monster that no one loved in the process.
"You just! Don't! LISTEN!"
... Fine.
If listening was what it took...
Then Caine would listen.
He would be the best at it.
