“So, you’re okay with it?” He said hopefully. He didn’t know what he’d do if Zer0 said no, but he knew he needed this change in his life to move forward. Zer0 seemed to sense this as he pulled Rhys in for a hug, something he didn’t do very often, and whispered, “I’m okay with you.” Which was just what Rhys needed to hear.

One of Elias’ hands is cupping the side of Jon’s face. Almost idly, his thumb moves to stroke Jon’s lower lip. It’s so startling that it knocks what Jon had been about to say right out of his head, his mouth open slightly in preparation to speak.
“What…” he manages to say after a long moment. He feels Elias’ thumb on his lip as he speaks.
