A knock echoed from the other side of the room.
He stared at the door like it might explode.
“Open up, Buck.”
Heart climbing into his throat, Bucky forced his feet to move and slowly walked to the door. Sam had flown in. From D.C. No heads up, no messages, he just came.
He’s here to break up with me. He saw the footage, saw the way I just stood there next to Val like some obedient dog, immediately falling into place again and is here to break up with me.
OR
Sam is checking in on his boyfriend because the void has clearly left him more shaken than he might have let on.

Angel flinched back, a prick of fear spreading swiftly over the expanse of his body. “Yep!” His feet moved his body towards the door, “Husk ya coming?” He looked worriedly towards Husk to find him walking quickly towards him with enough enthusiasm to pass by Charlie without getting charred.
Charlie transformed back into her normal form and grinned nicely, “See you guys later.” She waved and Vaggie, eyes still wide, lifted a thumbs up towards them.
Fan-fucking-tastic.
Nothing like getting threatened by the princess of hell to make up with your not-friend.

Runtime: ~1 hour and 45 minutesAs a phlebotomist with the Red Cross, Castiel has donors, not patients, and given donation protocols spacing appointments out, it typically takes a year to call someone a regular. Castiel bonds with his coworkers instead, and he stays over with his best friend and godson almost as often as he goes home. There's little exciting in the day-to-day, but routine is no hardship.
A new part of that routine comes in the form of a talkative if nervous man named Dean, whose pulse races every time Castiel takes it. Dean often flushes and looks uncomfortable, although he covers it up with jokes, teasing, and a ready smile. It makes his consistent, fortnightly platelet donations all the more admirable, but for some reason, Dean only looks even more nervous whenever Castiel brings that up.
