YESS IM SO EXCITED FOR MORE omg im so glad to have found this again. even if its not the longest fic ive read(so far, i mean who knows), ive always thought of this fic as a fantastic example of a vigilante izuku au is at its core

Summary
After giving up as a hero at long last, Izuku finds himself lost as he approaches high school. But, after thinking that it couldn’t possibly get worse, his life is completely derailed when he ends up in the midst of a villain attack with his mother. Manifesting a quirk he didn’t know he had, he was able to fend off the villain, at the price of the villain’s life. But, after it all, Inko Midoriya died far before the paramedics could get to her, all that was left of her being the last words she uttered to him.
After that, his life was in disarray. His purpose was gone, and the one person that had always been there for him was gone too. Even though Izuku ends up in the care of a small foster home, would that really be enough to quell that hole in his heart, one that seemed to be growing bigger by the day?
Or maybe he could find something else that fill that cavern with. A purpose. Something exhilarating, something illegal, something dangerous. A way he could actually feel useful. He did awaken a quirk, after all, and there was no way he could be a hero. Why not use it to at least do some good?

After the death of his mother, Izuku becomes a vigilante in hopes of rewriting his regrets.

HOLY COW THIS IS FANTASTIC
the pacing and writing are phenomenal, and you dont linger on unnecessary details. i especially loved how, during the incident, you kept jumping back in forth between a few days before it and the situation that was at hand
i cant wait for more chapters, this is quickly becoming a new favourite of the fics weve read- 🪈
