Jon joins an am-dram group and manages to land the lead in Hamlet. He's playing off of a very nervous but kinda cute co-star for both the love interest and queer coded best friend roles. Which means lots of rehearsing, car sharing, physical c-c-contact and practice k*ssing... Perhaps there's a chance they might fall in.... no... surely not...

or, jon and martin grow up together and when jon goes to uni everything falls apart and then comes back together again. including sad poetry, punk cafes, self-discovery, and falling in love twelve hundred different times.

Summary
He rubs at his eyes with the heels of his hands as the sound of an echoey laugh track fills the room. He takes his hands away, his eyes widening as they adjust and see Hermie standing above him. The Goof portal closes behind them and the laugh track stops.
“Hey,” Hermie says, folding their arms as they look Normal over. With judgment to be specific, or some kind of judgement. Hermie’s all goof-ed out right now, their second set of eyes on display, as well as their tail and long pointed ears. They don't have any makeup on though, and they’re just wearing a DC Robin (…or one of the Robins at least) t-shirt and jean shorts that hang a bit below their knees, as well as their bangs being put back with a headband. Normal doesn't say anything for a while and neither do they, just staring up at them with confusion. “You weren't at school.” They say, shrugging. Normal raises his eyebrows.
