He dreams of past matches. Quite a lot actually, he supposes it’s a long term effect of being part of one club your whole life. It’s normally a toss up between mental-mapping Old Trafford or his childhood home when he can’t sleep.
There’s the odd deviation from reality, but for the most part, his dreams don’t look too dissimilar to a match replay. A beat by beat of what happened, from his perspective, as real as it was to him all those years ago.
