Rumi's jaw tightened, her eyes focusing on some point in the space between Mira and Zoey, "It's not something that can be explained. It just is. A fact of nature, like how turtles have shells and tigers have stripes. I just need you to trust me when I tell you I'm not worthy of it."
Or, demons impersonate Rumi and Mira kissing in public. Mira spirals, Rumi breaks down and Zoey's insecurities implode.

Kiana had been running from her past. She made it to Japan, and tried to be "normal" only to find her past was already there. Clearly, it wouldn’t be very magical girl of her to keep running from it. Nor would it be very magical girl of her to let others suffer the same mistakes she did.
A story about a Kiana who has a few more friends on her side, a few tricks up her barrier jacket sleeves, and some guilt and motivation.

“It will help to focus on the reason you’re doing this as you enter the portal.” Naga told Lucina after she was done explaining the ritual to send her back in time.
“Of course.” Lucina nodded. “Stopping Grima.”
Naga shook her head, and Lucina snapped her mouth shut in confusion. When the manakete looked at her again, her stare was piercing, making Lucina feel like her very soul was being laid bare before this woman.
“That is the end goal, yes.” Naga stated. “But why you? Why are you going back to stop Grima?”
“Who else is going to do something?” Lucina answered immediately. “It has to be me.”
“So you feel obligated to do this?”
“No, I want to do this.”Lucina goes back in time to save her future. Things don’t go exactly as planned.
