Derek looked up, startled for a moment when he realized he was now looking at Stiles’ unveiled face. He was silent for a beat, taking in Stiles’ features for the first time, convinced he would never see such beauty unveiled for him alone.

"It was a wolf. A Massive Black Hellbeast Wolf, capitals necessary, caught in a bear trap and whimpering barely loud enough for Stiles to hear even as close as he was. Something about the trap caught Stiles eye and he leaned forward slightly for a better view around the wolf. The sudden movement caught the wolf’s attention (and how it hadn’t noticed Stiles earlier he’d never know) and its eyes and teeth snapped towards him, hackles rising even as its injuries forced it to stay low to the ground.
Despite the very scary set of fangs on display to him right now, it was actually the eyes—blood red—that stopped Stiles in his tracks and caused him to suck in a startled breath. His mind flashed back to a dug-up grave with a burlap sack and a string of flowers."

“We should get married.”
“Hmm?” Stiles said distractedly, a pen between his teeth as he scrolled.
“Stiles,” Derek said patiently, “we should get married.”
Finally hearing him, Stiles turned his head and spat his pen into his hand. “Okay?”
“If anything happens to me, everything I have, all my money and property and the cars all go to Peter. If we got married, it would go to you. Peter would hate that.”
Stiles snorted. “Sure, dude, just let me know the date and time and I’ll be there.”
They grinned at each other as the sound of something breaking came from Peter’s room, and that was that.OR that time Derek proposed and Stiles agreed but he was the only one who thought it was a joke.
