Flu cases are down, the Blood of Hate is vanquished for now, and Jonathan Reid has barely any fewer responsibilities. He has his family and old friend to care for, and his patients, and his new progeny, and his project to cure Elisabeth Ashbury.
When McCullum is attacked and wounded steps from the Pembroke Hospital on a trip to make peace with the Brotherhood of Saint Paul's Stole--by a human--it becomes clear they have more worries still, and they need each other still. But pulling the thread will simply reveal a tangle of plots and schemes, by dangerous mortals and immortals grasping for control in London's secret societies and streets by night, with no clear way out.

Summary
Hidden out of space and time, but still a part of the Lands Between, is the Roundtable Hold, the so-called Hold of Heroes, the Manor of Champions. A fellowship of those seeking to claim the Elden Ring. The closest thing to a home the Tarnished have.
Roderika never should have reached it. Exiled in all but name, abandoned in a strange land, the only survivor of her ill-starred party, and without a trace of Grace, she should have perished in a shack when Godrick's Tarnished-hunters caught up with her. Instead, a party of Tarnished girls her own age find her and readily give the thing most scarce in their broken land: kindness. They bring her to a strange refuge outside of reality, lead by Knight that Hears-All and a Lady that sees them, a grumpy chained and cursed Misbegotten blacksmith, and many other strange and abandoned folk.
They are not the Lands Between's idea of heroes. But that will not deter them.

Summary
Malenia was awoken from nightmares and charmed slumber by a nearly-grown daughter, dying from their shared affliction, and a Tarnished who'd followed her. A month and a rebirth ritual later, she is woken again by her daughter in better circumstances, but her mind is disquiet. Fear and despair are the Rot's greatest weapons, and she cannot afford to fail again.
But Millicent is perhaps the one good thing all the sorrow and horror of Caelid and her First Bloom led to, and while her return has not returned Malenia's pride as the undefeated swordswoman, it may have given her something stronger.

“What the fuck,” Tony rasped, with feeling.
Not-Steve smiled. Tony wanted to tell him to stop. A smile on a face like that should never look so sad. But despite everything, he gazed at Tony like he’d hung the stars. Like he could stand there and look forever. And Tony couldn’t make himself say anything at all.
“I must have taken a wrong turn.” There was something defeated in the slump to his shoulders. The way his gaze drank Tony in, as if afraid he might disappear. “I’m sorry."
Tony takes one look at the man who appears in his lab and knows he isn’t Steve Rogers. But whoever sent him did a hell of a job.

Summary
Adjusting to life after the great Avengers vs. X-Men debacle is hard enough, but since when have the Avengers ever caught a break, anyway? When some rich dudes pool their funds to build the creepy and possibly unstoppable Angels of the Apocalypse, Tony has an idea to fight them off, but it involves exploring something he forgot during his SHRA days.

Summary
Tony and Steve have finally made up after Civil War. They’re friends again. It’s everything Steve wanted. It’s a pity, then, that Steve has to go and ruin everything by dying in Tony’s arms. It’s not a bad place to die. It’s not even the first time.
When Steve wakes up as a ghost—Tony’s personal haunting—he learns all sorts of things he’s sure Tony never wanted him to know. Chief among them: Tony’s been in love with Steve for a long time, and Steve’s apparently the last to know.
