Have you heard the story of the two orphaned sisters?
Reports state that the ‘beast’ appeared two weeks ago. In that time, it had never shown itself. It left nothing behind but split trees and new paths, haphazardly torn into the ground. The beast never attacked adults; it only went after children when no one was looking, never making a show of the kidnapping. No sound, no evidence. It was as if the children were never there at all.
I heard the younger sister was jealous of her older sister’s happiness.
The Master trusted this to him personally. There was no room for failure.
They say the younger went mad and murdered her older sister the night before her wedding.

Like any other organization, the Demon Slayer Corps were no stranger to rumours. To no one's surprise, the kakushi were always the first to know of anything and everything. However, there was one rumour that circulated for a long time, one that every kakushi, new and old, knew. Rumours about a Miracle Selection. Giyū storms out of the bathroom and marches back over to her messed up nest. She grabs her phone and checks the date.
Tuesday, January 14th
Giyū swipes across the screen and clicks on her calendar. She scowls when it loads in, the bright red marker set on next Thursday.
She bites her lip and throws her phone as hard as she can on the bed. It bounces and lands with a thud on the floor, but she was already sitting on the edge of the bed with her head in her hands.
She's in Pre-Heat... a whole week and two days early. Fuck.
