There’s a pause. “Someone saw me,” Venti repeats.
“Nimrod,” Diluc nods. “Got drunk in Angel’s Share afterwards. Charles told me, which means that everyone in the bar must know by now, and probably half the city.” Then he mutters something about Kaeya, which Venti would address if he felt anything like normal. It’ll be fine, probably.
The idea of Nimrod knowing, of half of the city knowing –
Anemo rises up between Venti’s limbs before he can even put the idea into words. He doesn’t think about it, barely processing what he’s doing, before he blinks out in a flurry of teal.
(Venti intervenes with an Abyssal threat and gets caught. Mondstadt doesn't see him again for weeks.)

“And get this.” Tighnari leans forward conspiratorially. “Durin apparently wanted Hat Guy to show him around the Akademiya. He initially said no, but then Durin pouted and he agreed.”
Kaveh’s jaw drops, gasping with all the dramatics that this situation requires. Alhaitham’s eyebrows even raise slightly, almost like he’s impressed. “What?” Kaveh whispers. “This is the same guy who once told a toddler sobbing in the street to get a hold of himself, yes?”
“Precisely.” Really, Tighnari doesn’t consider himself one prone to gossip. He’s more so… intrigued. Have they known each other for a long time? If so, why haven’t they ever heard of or seen him until now? And how would they know each other?
There's a new dragon in town, and he somehow has the ability to befriend Hat Guy of all people. Tighnari, Cyno, Alhaitham, and Kaveh (who have all known Hat Guy for much longer, thank you) are determined to solve the mystery.

Imagine "found family teaches troubled kid empathy" except the kid never actually catches the empathy, just gets really good at pretending he did. Now that kid is a whole ahh emperor of the sea who is actually a holy knight in disguise who is also now casually planning to overthrow a god-tier dictator with his equally problematic twin brother, using the same tone you'd use to plan a grocery run....???

"My plan…” Shanks faltered, looking very awkward and avoiding eye contact with Beckman as if it would save him from Beckman’s very judgemental stare. “My plan to betray Luffy…?"
Beckman lit a cigarette and took a drag.
Shanks seemed to be a bit miffed by Beckman’s blank stare, because he then huffs out like a petulant child instead of a grown man that he is.
“Well! I mean—Not anymore? I’m not gonna do that anymore. I’ve decided to not betray him anymore since an hour ago. I’m a changed man, okay?!”

In which, Shanks realizes he has massively messed up by feeding the Nika Devil Fruit to a random child he found funny. Now that the child might actually be capable of defeating Imu, Shanks is forced to reassess his plan to betray the child. He promptly decides that his next move is to team up with his brother, Shamrock, and lie to the entire world, convincing everyone that they had been the good guys all along and that he had never planned to betray Luffy since the start.Series
