Corbeau had a big problem, in the form of one strange Pokémon that was, for some reason, stuck to his side like a leech. This wouldn't be such a big problem in theory, just defeat it and throw it out, right?
Wrong, because said Pokémon is quite literally the god of death, which is another big problem, since nobody can know said Pokémon is attached to his hip, pokeball or not. Not even Philippe knows of it… Somehow, add to that the appearance of rogue Mega Pokémon in his city, and you have one giant disaster in the making.
It has been a long time since he had been this stressed; he was so fucked.
Or, alternatively, ancient Lovecraftian entity forces itself to be adopted by local mob boss.

This is a rewrite. I wrote the original story in 2019ish, and then got massively burned out and self-conscious. I deleted everything—even my old AO3 account, magicalmayhems. And now, four years older and a little wiser, I decided to start this story again. To be clear: I do not intend to abandon it this time.
