“He’s not dying,” Kravitz tells him. “I’d know.”
“Well, that’s reassuring,” Magnus replies. “Do you know when we’re all supposed to die?”
“I should, but yours are always changing,” Kravitz says. “It depends on the day. Sometimes—”
“I’m pregnant,” Taako blurts out. Kravitz’s and Magnus’ heads snap towards him at the same time.(Or: Taako, Magnus, and Kravitz make a mistake, work their lives into place a little backwards, and somehow slot themselves into a family just in time to actually become one.)

When Bruce defeats his evil alternate self from another universe and takes the evil Batman's abused kids back to his home world, they have no idea what to expect from their new life (except for the worst).
They are about to find out - and also join in the Bats' investigations and hopefully heal a little. And maybe help the others find out some important things about themselves and each other.
Featuring lots of misunderstandings and angst - but also some fluffy comfort.

Summary
Beneath Gotham there is something. Anyone who spends time with their feet on the ground can tell you that much. At the surface level it's goons and scared street kids. Beneath them are the sewers, haunted by endless appetites and the scraping of hide against stone. Beneath that is glowing green, craving warmth of blood and rage, hunting for its host. And even further beneath that is something other.
Above Gotham there is something. Anyone who spends time in the city can tell you that much. In the shadows of tall buildings or on outcrops of stone there was movement. Flashes of color or shadows taken form. Ever watchful eyes following the movement of the cities beating heart.
Some feared what was above, some feared what was below. But for one... well one craved both.
