Summary
A rewrite of episode four and what happens afterward.
“Well yeah,” Shane said, his voice took the slightly bratty tone that Rozanov loves. “You keep your house cold as shit.” This made Rozanov burst out laughing. He went towards his dresser to pull out a hoodie. He pauses as he sees Shane’s perfectly folded outfit settle neatly on the wood. He lets a small smile cross his lips within the privacy his back has provided from Shane. Like in every piece of clothing Rozanov has ever had the luxury of peeling off of Shane’s body a neat S.H. was written on the label of Shane’s jacket. He was about to toss an old CCM sweatshirt to Shane when a different one caught his eye. The team had got them this year, they were black with the Boston Bear’s logo in yellow. The hoodie was branded with Rozanov’s number and last name on it. The thought of Hollander, Montreal’s and the NHL’s golden boy, wearing his name did something to him. I guess he didn’t care that Shane was a hockey god, the only thing he cared about was the fact that in a few moments he was going to see Shane wearing his last name. Something he couldn’t let himself dream of.

Hayden´s grin widens. “Playing? Me? I have no idea what you’re talking about, Rozanov. I’m simply dancing with my good friend Shane.”
He presses his hips against Shane again, teasing.“You will lose, Pike,” Ilya growls.
“Mmmh no, I don´t think so” he purrs, moving his hips a bit harder.
“I assure you, you will” Ilya retorts, fully back to his confident self.

"Happy to be of service," Hayden bowed, and Shane laughed, just as the door clicked open again behind him.
"Who is this?" A deep voice asked abruptly, in an accent that Shane dimly noticed sounded Russian.
"Our new roommate, Rozanov," Hayden rolled his eyes with a long-suffering sigh. "I literally told you about him last night."
Shane turned to see one of the most attractive men he'd ever seen in his life standing a foot away from him.
Realizing he'd been staring for a moment too long, Shane stuck out his hand. "I'm Shane Hollander."
The young man appraised him with disinterest for several seconds before saying, "Okay."
Shane dropped his hand, his face burning.
"Shane, this is Ilya Rozanov, but everyone just calls him Rozanov," Hayden exhaled. "And he is my asshole roommate of two years, going on three, and now one of your roommates.”
Rozanov smirked. “You are mad I get my own room while you share with him.”
“Oh, fuck off, Rozanov,” Hayden retorted. “Unlike you, I have friends, and one of them is Shane.”
“I have friends,” Rozanov dismissed.

Summary
Shane is Student Government President and Ilya is a Frat President but neither are what the other originally thinks. Shane thought Ilya was a careless party boy and Ilya thought Shane was a square. They spend years floating around each other at school until Shane becomes Ilya's tutor. When they are both nominated for their University's Homecoming Court, they find each other at a party together with Rose Landry and it becomes impossible to resist each other.
This fic was heavily inspired by someone saying that Ilya is the "Darcy" of the Heated Rivalry Universe. As a Jane Austen lover, I selfishly wanted to two to discuss the book and I loved the idea of Shane loving rom coms and the two identifying with the characters.
