Summary
What Tommy finds really concerning, is that Evan hasn't shed a single tear. Sure, he allowed himself a brief moment in the hallway to scream and sob and grieve after saying goodbye to Bobby, but that was it. He didn't cry after that, not even at the funeral, not even when literally everyone else was bawling their eyes out. He's sure about that because Evan told him, out of the blue, a couple days ago, voice raw and vulnerable.
"I feel empty, numb. I can't feel anything, not even the pain. I want to cry but I can't, I think I'm broken, Tommy. Am I broken?"

Summary
He exhaled loudly. Buck needed to remind himself—he’s a firefighter, for Pete’s sake. He squatted to check the emergency call panel. “Hello? Hi. This is Evan Buckley, resident of, uh, apartment 533, and I’m stuck in your elevator. I’d really love not to spend my birthday in here-”
A soft chuckle came from behind him.
Buck froze.
Or in which Buck got stuck in an elevator with a neighbour on his birthday.
Edit : Now with a second chapter—Tommy's POV!
